[edit] Comment on Talk:Australia

Could you explain what you mean by your comment "Any reason why Australia's capital city isn't Canberra and it's monarch Elizabeth II?" at Talk:Australia -- 05:12, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] My Comment on Talk:Australia

In November 2004 I had noticed that some of the information on the Australia article was incorrect. At the time your article claimed that the Head of State of Australia was an Indian Sikh and that the Prime Minister of Australia was really the Indian Prime Minister. I was only stating that there were errors and that it was not my place to correct them. Draig goch20 17:11, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Christianity Article - There is no allah in Christianity, but YHWH

In Early January 2005 I had noticed that someone had gone into the Christianity article and put "There is only one god, thats allah". That as many would know was incorrect as the Christians beleive in both Jehovah and Jesus. Comments like this would mislead learners and errors like this should be checked at all times. [edit] I am to quit en.wikipedia.org in Jan 2006

After being part of the editing community on here since 2003, I plan to finish editing on en.wikipedia.org in January 2006. My plan is to concentrate more on other wiki projects. I quite like wikipedia and I hope this encyclopaedia will go on for many years ahead. I will be on cy.wikipedia.org mostly afterwards.

[edit] For some reason

For some reason my User Name has been blocked editing due to the fact that my I.P. Address has been used by someone else. I am willing to sit this block even though I am angry about this. I used my IP on my user page last but the other things listed are not articles edited or created or vandalised by this (Draig_goch20) user.

Draig goch20 02:01, July 18, 2005 (UTC)

Is this why you want your user ID disabled? If you really want that, I'll see what I can do. It would be nice to have you full-time on the Welsh wikipedia, but there may be times you want to edit on the English, eg. if you create a new article and want to add the "cy" link. Deb 11:58, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
It's not great practice to use an IP address for editing -- people who do that are often regarded with suspicion (and sadly, this is justified in many cases). I can understand your feelings -- it's true that the Welsh wikipedia is a much more pleasant environment to work in (although we do occasionally get "fandaliaeth"). Would it be any good if we just protected your user page and user talk page and left you as an inactive user, but with the option of returning? (I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to do that, but I'm also not sure if it'll be acceptable to delete your ID.) Deb 17:25, 21 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Adminship

Noted your comments on the RFA talk page, and maybe the page Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship will be helpful (remember, it's an unofficial guide) Borisblue 03:48, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Welsh Wikipedians' notice board

I've created a fairly simple Wikipedia:Welsh Wikipedians' notice board (shortcut WP:WWNB) to try to get things started. Please have a look and consider signing on, adding it to your watchlist and helping to make sure any users with an interest in the subject know about it. Also please feel free to add things and to change anything you feel needs changing – I'm not under the impression that I own it! Rhion 20:51, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome back

Nice to have you back on board. Hope that you will be at wicipedia as well. Deb 11:47, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

I must say (and this is a compliment to the standard of your contributions) that I thought you were older. Deb 17:21, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Place the War on Terrorism Template on here

This is definatly part of the war on terror, don't blaim us about the name we did not create it! The WOT title applies to the war between the USA and allies against AlQaeda. This attack fits the bi--Greg.loutsenko 18:57, 11 August 2006 (UTC)ll a hell of a lot more than the war in iraq. And the logic its US centric term so we won't put it on UK terorism articles is "intersting".Hypnosadist 17:03, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Typical that people would prefer to make events like yesterdays a non War on Terrorism event because it happened in the UK. I think it is rediculous and that this is very well part of the WOT and the UK is very much involved in fighting terrorism. It's a different war, not a war of nations, it's a war of Nations vs Criminals, people who don't just rob their local bank or their corner shop, they kill millions of innocent people. I support this war on terrorism and hope that one day, we will defeat them. Yesterday is an example of that, and a victory for the police and security services of the UK, we deserve acknowledgment in our contribution to ending what could had been the largest terror attack since 9/11.

Amlder20 17:31, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

they kill millions of innocent people. WTF? when the yanks invaded afganistan and iraq they killed tens of thousands of innocent civilians. the yanks call this collateral damage, but this is bull shit, its called murdering tens of thousands of people. al qaeda was created by CIA. trained, funded, they even activly provided intellegence. so i think the yanks should just go and hug their forner friends. and since all you yanks are so christian why dont you turn the other cheek. THE YANKS CREATED AL QAEDA, WHY SHOULD THE REST OF THE WORLD HAVE TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS. War On Terror is yours, you deal with it.--Greg.loutsenko 18:49, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

never the less what i said about al qaeda being created by CIA is true, and why the fuck should the rest of the world have to deal with there mess. war on terror should be left up to them.

sorry its just i thought you were some yank who thinks that america is a perfect nation and was attacked by some EVIL being, for no good reason and now yankyland has to save the world because they are so good. --Greg.loutsenko 18:57, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Protecting user page

Yes, your page can be protected, but for some reason this practice is frowned on. That's why my user page is such a mess - I stopped using it because other people decided I shouldn't protect it. If you have had incidents of your page being vandalized, then you can justify protecting it - but if you haven't, then someone will probably take it upon themselves to unprotect it in the future. Let me know if you feel you need it protected. Deb 19:12, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

OK, I've done it. Let me know if it ever gets to be a hindrance. Deb 19:17, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Very Funny Ads

I noticed you created this article. At the moment I'd say it is a candidate for deletion. Do you have any immendiate plans to expand it? --Guinnog 23:49, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

It certainly looks a bit better now and the website it advertises is a funny one. However, it doesn't seem to make any assertion as to the subject's notability, its suitability for an encyclopedia article. Do you know what I mean? --Guinnog 00:28, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Contemporary Welsh Law

I can start the page, but I need to develope an outline first. It may take the weekend to pull something together. I am excited by the prospect of Contemporary Welsh Laws too. Drachenfyre 05:42, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

I wrote to the Welsh Assembly via email last week and am waiting a response. I asked for specifics on authorities and laws that will be effective as of May 2007. I have written to them before re: weather or no Wales is a principality and they were quick in their response. In the mean time, I did establish a stub, one that will be expanded once more information is provided. I shall post an outline for the artical once I am home today or tomorrow. Drachenfyre 10:06, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Melisende of Jerusalem

I did not realize you were a native Welsh speaker! Might I ask if you could translate this page for me into Welsh? It was really one of the first pages I did (really rewrote it from a stub) and I would love to see this in Welsh if possible. My work has prevented me from devoting to the Contemp Welsh Laws, but It will be done this week, at least a modest initial entry. Drachenfyre 17:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Plaid Cymru

Hwyl. There's a two-man edit war going on within this article at the moment. I'd like to see the debate widened again. Deb 16:37, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Basically, Normalmouth and Lenincymru2007 have been at one another's throats for the past couple of weeks, each accusing the other of bias. I'd like to see other people commenting on the article as it stands here. That's if you don't actually want to edit the article yourself, of course. Deb 16:44, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Amlder - thanks for your suggestion. Each one of the points disputed has been reputably sourced in the way you suggest.Normalmouth 17:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. Lenincymru2007 is a new contributor and potentially has much to contribute to Wikipedia. I need to try and find a way to work productively with him and to convey that, where something has been well sourced (e.g from reliable academic sources as you suggest), there needs to be a proper reason (i.e beyond his general feeling that he doesn't like it) for it to be removed or edited. His input into the Plaid Cymru article has obliged me to do more reading, research into the party's history and improve the article; now that I have I find it more than a little frustrating to find him dumping my meticulously sourced references because he misguidedly thinks they show the party in a bad light (as if that was ever the criteria). To that end, I would value enormously someone who could give a view on whether some or all of the disputed edits should stand. Can you help? Normalmouth 22:12, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
