what the crap does that mean? remain as what? amish or english?

it says on the amish page - "It was later revealed that these Amish youths were already living apart from their Amish parents prior to the show." is this true. it seems important

Last year I coincidentally went to the county that Miriam is from (Holmes Co. OH). I stayed in a hotel in Charm, and while there, looked in a book that advertized that Miriam was doing tours of Amish country. First, is she still doing that, and where is the website? Second, is she still on any terms with family?
