Amir Esmann

Amir Esmann is a Director of Photography. Cameraman Esmann was born in Zurich Switzerland in 1965. He lived 5 years in Teheran Iran at the time of the Shah. He subsequently worked and lived in Austria, Vienna

He is known for his exhibitions and media work for TV Broadcasters and Media Companies. His work in former Yugoslavia bring him high reputation and he is well known. He has received various Awards in the last years for his cameraman work including the Dr. Karl Renner Award. He has directed various documentaries for ORF, BBC, ARTE, NHK, TV5, RAI and other Networks

The Joel File (Billy Joel) was awarded the Golden Rose of Montreux. He has filmed several pop documentaries for artists including Whitney Houston and Jean Paul Gaultier.

In 1999 he founded the Camera Department in Vienna as a resource for filmmaker to get creatives for their projects.
