Amiboshi

Amiboshi (亢宿) is a Seiryū-seishi ("star-person", or celestial warrior) from Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yūgi. He's the elder twin brother of Suboshi as well. He first appeared impersonating the Suzaku-seishi Chiriko under orders from Nakago. After being discovered, he falls into a river and is believed to be dead. He is found by an old couple and pretends that he has amnesia. The couple adopt him as a son and call him Kaika. He saves Miaka while she is searching for the Shinzaho, but he pretends that he does not recognize her. He is the only surviving Seiryū-seishi at the end of the story. His younger brother gave him a forgetfulness potion after he nearly died. He lost his memory forever, which protected him from the fate of the rest of the Seiryū-seishi.

Tranquil and reserved, but at times he can be single-minded and merciless. Before the events of the book, he was a kind young man determined to judiciously protect his younger brother. For that reason, he was faced with a dilemma and the pain of choosing between the Seiryū-seishi and the Suzaku-seishi.
