Hello. Do you know that in your articles about games you're creating lots of links that don't work because they have incorrectly capitlized letters? (Take a look at the ones I've edited.) Michael Hardy 00:11, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)
So you know, if you happen upon an article that is nonsense (ie random characters or only horizontal lines, like the Compression ice machine article you recently edited and has since been deleted) you can add a delete tag to it, to alert admins that it should be speedily deleted. No problem, also, when adding a comment on a talk page, add it at the bottom (click on the + button next to the "edit this page" button). I almost didn't see your message, cuz it was at the top! Lachatdelarue (talk) 04:01, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Halo contributions
I emailed you a little ways back but you didn't respond, so I'll try posting here. I'm just here to inform you that I'm spearheading a crusade to revamp and reorganize WikiPedia's pages on the Halo universe. I'd appreciate it if you'd check out my user page and my /Halo page. Click here and Enlist. I would be much obliged. That is, if you're interested in making more contributions and being a part of an organized group. LockeShocke 02:16, Nov 28, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Winter Hill Gang, Whitey Bulger & the Crime Stub
Thanks for changing the stub on those two articles. I was certain that the perfect stub was out there, but I kept drawing a blank. I hoped that someone would come along and add the correct one. You answered my prayers. Thanks again. --AStanhope 23:26, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] World Citizen userbox,
Hi, I noticed the message saying you're a World Citizen, I would like to invite you to add to your user page if you wish to proclaim it in a more effective way, and this template will also add you automatically to the Wikipedians with World Citizenship category. :) --Mistress Selina Kyle 23:54, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy Deletion
Hey, I noticed you tagged an article with delete. That works to tag it for admins, but they usually need something that tells then why it's a Speedy Deletion candidate. Check WP:CSD for the Criteria for Speedy Deletion, it'll help you out a lot. The most common ones are non-notable bios (speedy delete template nn-bio), patent nonsense (speedy template nonsense) or just generally a Delete Because tag with an explanation (template give your reason here. Thanks for helping out on new page patrol!! RasputinAXP talk contribs 04:43, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Change in list of Wikipedians in Florida

Thanks for getting that one done. One less to worry about. --Faustus37 19:37, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Zoids... mobilise!
Amerika, I'm giving the green light to the Zoids wikiproject. You expressed interest in supporting this wikiproject, either at the temporary project page set up in my userspace, or at the entry in the "List of proposed Wikiprojects".
I am now informing you that the project page has been moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Zoids, and would like you to have a look at it sometime in the next few days. While you're there, please make a note on the talk page of the kind of work you feel you would be best at performing.
Thanks in advance for your effort! -- Saberwyn 22:05, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Ditto to what Saberwyn said. Any help is good help so uber props go out to you.Thanks-Giant89 21:51, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:BostonFrenzy.GIF
Thanks for uploading Image:BostonFrenzy.GIF. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use GFDL to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as db-unksource.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:USS T-3.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:USS T-3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use GFDL-self to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
