American Singles was one of the very first dating sites on the Internet and therefore is historic Singlespedia 17:08, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
match.com is also in Wikipedia and was of equal size (in terms of membership) for several years Singlespedia 17:08, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
American Singles was originally a non-profit service, while match.com has always been a for profit corporation, yet is included in wikipedia. Singlespedia 17:08, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
The issue isn't size or history or commerical intent. It's notability--you need coverage from outside sources. NickelShoe (Talk) 20:18, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Please allow more time for this page to be improved upon.... they are in the works. Singlespedia 15:18, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

New Discussion What is up with the American Singles website not being accessible 90% of the time? It's like at the end of an alley of the Net. I can't access it from outside the US and inside the country I can only get there by clicking on links. Directly typing the URL does nothing. If this question could be answered it would tell us alot about how the site is hosted....
