[edit] American Mensa ... not a Good Idea

Making a new article for American Mensa was a Bad Idea ... Mensa Switzerland is a redirect to Mensa International, and American Mensa should be as well. And changing a dozen articles so that they point to American Mensa instead of Mensa International only confuses things by providing incorrect information ... case in point, you changed Issac Asimov, but he was more active as the International Vice-President than he was in American Mensa activities ... in fact, the last time I saw him was at a Mensa Canada gathering in Vancouver.

Another mistake is putting multiple links in a short article ... you only need to have one link to Mensa in an article, unless it is Very Long (i.e., you'd have to scroll back several screens to find the link.) You do not need it twice in the same paragraph, and it should be the first use of the word, not the third or fifth and sixth.

In conclusion, please do not change the {{User Mensa member}} template so that "Mensa" points to American Mensa instead of Mensa International ... but you can always put {{User IQ|high enough to join [[American Mensa]]}} on your userpage if you want to assert your regional independence ... and the link should still work even after someone does the inevitable redirect. :-) —141.156.240.102 (talk|contribs) 12:09, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
