David Kushner's book, Masters of Doom, describe's American's role in the original DOOM as only doing technical support for iD. He didn't work on design until DOOM II. Is this right?

He'll have a hard time writing a prequel to The Wizard of Oz (especially with the speculation about a storyline based on a pre-Dorothy Oz and the relationship between Glinda and Elphaba (Witch of the West), especially after the book and hit musical Wicked deal with those exact subjects.
