Lisa Tucker, 3/15/06
Lisa Tucker is marked as "Bottom 3" for this week, because at no time was it explicitly stated during the broadcast that she was in the Bottom 2. We can change it if somebody can find an official source saying her exact status. -- MisterHand 19:40, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- The point is, they aways save the Bottom 3 survivors in order. Ace was the third lowest score, Lisa was the secont lowest and Melissa the lowest. Simple like that...—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.232.157.49 (talk • contribs).
Table, 4/18/06
Why is it that this table is different from the one for the finals in the other idol seasons. I think the other one is more organized and is more understandable. Also we could have two to make everyone happy but when i change it back it always gets changed again! -- —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.195.198.245 (talk • contribs). 1:00, 18 April 2006
- The reason your changes were reverted was because you made them without discussion. Taking the matter here instead is a better course of action. My personal preference is the table as it looks today. I think it provides a better "at a glance" look at the entire contest. But let's get input from the other editors as well. -- MisterHand 06:08, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with MisterHand. The table as it looks now is cleaner and more pleasing to the eye. My suggestion would be to make a true template out of it (ala the animal, tv, car boxes) and change the other seasons to match this season. -- Uvapip 12:06, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- My problem just is though that it's getting too big and it's annoying to look at. If we made one for the finals and one for the semi-finals it would probably be better and easier to see.
Melissa McGhee, Bucky Covington
Why does it say that they were in the bottom 2 during the last round of the semis? Just because they took the last spots in the top 12 does not mean that they were in the bottom 2. If they were in the bottom 2, they would have been voted off and not have made it to the finals. Va girl2468 02:03, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

I've moved the second table here because we don't need two tables with the same information, and because right now more people seem to prefer the first table. If consensus goes the other way, we can swap the tables between talk and the main template. -- MisterHand 10:58, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
The second table is now complete here on the talk page. Please do not add it back to the main template without getting consensus first. Thanks! -- MisterHand 00:42, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Nuke the Themes row?
The Themes row is responsible for widening the columns by quite a bit (at least on my browser - Firefox on Tiger). Since this information is available directly above the table on American Idol (Season 5) and nuking the row gives us a whole lot of much-needed horizontal space ... how 'bout we get rid of it in this template? -- Av 04:48, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Works for me. It's not really relevant to "elimination history" anyhow. -- MisterHand 13:20, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Done. Aaaaahhhhhh, much better. Av 14:30, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Fixed colspan
Congratulations for the one who fixed this template. That table with unfinished rows was really annoying me. Ultranol 14:28, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Table background colours
I personally thought using electric greeny-blue cyan as the background for male contestants looked pretty awful. As a replacement, I used a lighter shade of blue. Those changes were reverted. I think changing the cyan to another shade is a good idea. Compared they are:
Blue | Cyan | Good blue |
Does anyone agree/disagree with me that the last shade ("good blue") is better than the cyan currently in use?
