[edit] I think Melrose needs her own page now

All the other Runner-ups have one, plus she's walked in two shows for fashion week, appeared in a catalog, and is designing for a clothing line. I'd say she's proved her notability.

[edit] Elimination

Whoever put that Elimination, should take it all off. And then put it back up!

[edit] Post-op Transsexual

Is it true what was posted about Monique being a post-op transsexual? It seems very questionable(and made me laugh I admit).

No, that would be Coryn from last season. Or, so the blogosphere says. I'm not buying it. On the venerable blog, fourfour.typepad.com, Monique has been likened to Salacious Crumb of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi fame. I say this is an accurate connection, given Salacious' favorite pasttimes...(i.e. "hearing the screams")

[edit] Contetsants

YES the contestants are REAL. Here's proof: http://community.livejournal.com/topmodel/1279266.html#cutid1 Lil Flip246 23:34, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] callout

woah why was the callout order table deleted? it was correct and i thought it was kinda cool since all other seasons had one. I'm gonna re-enter it in. ~~ ok... since someone seriously doesnt like the idea then we shall leave it as it is then :)

[edit] Trivia on contestants' ages

I have deleted the trivia in question, as I have doubts about how it is arrived at.

There are few details on the contestants' exact ages and so I suspect it is done using the rounded ages as supplied by the show/network, in which case it's pretty meaningless. Ohconfucius 06:21, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] hey

I think it would be cool to have a chart like project runway so you can just put the order in a neat table. I will put it so if you don't like it, get rid of it but it would make me sad :(

[edit] First cycle with two lesbians?

Apparently not. Kim Stolz of cycle 5 recently revealed on Afterellen.com that from that cycle, Nik Pace and another unidentified model are also lesbians. -- TrojanMan 23:12, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CariDee, not Caridee

The opening credits spell it as "CariDee."

[edit] How come model's names redirect to this article?

How come the links with the model's names redirect to this article? Are you telling me no one can be bothered to create articles for each ANTM contestant in this Cycle? -- Jalabi99 11:09, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Many pages of ANTM contestants have been deleted per AfD consensus. In some cases, they have been replaced by redirects also per same. Until they have solid achievements further to their appearances, they should not be recreated. Ohconfucius 04:03, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
  • The contestants section has been made linkless for now, as they create circular double-redirects otherwise. If these contestants' pages get reactivated, the links may be reinstated. I recommend leaving them as they are otherwise. Ohconfucius 10:03, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WTF happens ?

The review of today's episode is under vandalism...

[edit] Reason for Elimination

Is there a reason for keeping that section? It seems pretty worthless, not to mention unencyclopedic. Elcda0 17:11, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Monique's Elimination

The color should NOT be gray for Monique. She wasn't eliminated because she didn't do the photoshoot. She was eliminated because the judges thought that she didn't want it enough. I'm gonna change the color back to red. Zaque 24 17:10, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I think what it means is just highlighting the fact that she did not participate, and got eliminated that same episode, not stating that it was the CAUSE of her elimination. Anna from cycle 2 was eliminated because she gave a bad excuse for exempting herself from the photoshoot, not because of the act itself. Just a thought though.

[edit] The Girl Who Grates

In Barcelona, the models' nerves are wearing thin. After a Flamenco photo shoot challenge, Melrose breaks down in tears when her dancing is criticized. In unlikely pairs, the models float in a pool of icy water as Tyra directs their photo shoot, but CariDee must bow out of the shoot early as hypothermia begins to set in.

That's the new episode summary for this upcoming week's episode.

Any predictions by the way?

didn't know how to make new post but who keeps on putting up ANTM winner as Melrose or CariDee I want CariDee to win but the episode hasn't even aired yet so they're obviously faking, CariDee rox! Do not worry caridee won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thebritishcanadian 17:09, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why?

Please erase the part where it says the "results" of the last episode. It hasnt been on yet so it is not possible someone knows, and even if they do, it is unfair for people to have everything spoiled just like that...

Pauvale 03:35, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Pau*

You need to be clearer about what you want changed. The word "results" doesn't appear in the article. —Doug Bell talk 04:57, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Quite. There are no results fgiven for the last episode of the series, and there is a spoiler warning. Rich Farmbrough, 16:12 4 December 2006 (GMT).

COMMENTS: AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL IS THE BEST EVER AND IT WILL REMAIN SO. GOOD LUCK ON ALL AUDITIONING FOR SEASON 8! -LOVE TYRA BANKS

AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL ROCKS! Anyways.....CARIDEE is the best ever and Melrose sux, but i wish brooke would have won

[edit] Episode Summaries

Can someone make a table for the episode summaries?

What happened to Cycle 6 transformation, i am confused... YuRiPa 20:27, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] incorrect math

I've corrected the callout averages, but my edits were reverted. I think the results in the article are incorrect.

Melrose's callouts: 1, 12, 1, 6, 4, 2, 4, 2, 1, 2, and 1. These numbers total 36, for an average of 3.27.

CarrieDee's callouts; 11, 2, 6, 9, 1, 4, 2, 1, 5, 3, and 3. These numbers total 47, for an average of 4.27.

Eugena's callouts: 4, 10, 8, 10, 2, 6, 7, 5, 2, 1, and 2. These numbers total 57, for an average of 5.18.

Without comment, User:CrossingGuard reverted the article to give scores of 3.36, 3.36, and 5.09 (respectively). How can these scores possibly be accurate? -- Mikeblas 04:53, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

I believe callouts do not include the first "entry into the final" callout, because that's random. In addition, you didn't include the final callout (from when Eugena was eliminated). 2+6+9+1+4+2+1+5+3+3+1/11 = 3.36 = CariDee. 12+1+6+4+2+4+2+1+2+1+2/11 = 3.36 = Melrose. 10+8+10+2+6+7+5+2+1+2/10 = 5.3 = Eugene. HOWEVER (and this is a big however), we really don't have any proof that Tyra calls them out in order of performance, although getting called out first is the best, apparently. Thus...well, it's just statistics. They might even be baseless. SKS2K6 05:12, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
I didn't include those because the page says "(excluding semifinals and the last judging panel)". Did I skip the wrong set of numbers? -- Mikeblas 05:26, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
The "episode 1" callout, in which Melrose was first, was the last semifinal callout. Although it was the first hour of the two-hour premiere, it is called Episode 1 (because according to the CW, it counts as a two-episode premiere). SKS2K6 06:16, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and I believe the last callout is when Melrose and Caridee were final two. SKS2K6 06:17, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation! If these are random as you suggest, why are they included in the chart? Is this curious definition of "semifinals" widely understood? -- Mikeblas 12:44, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
The chart states: In episode 1, the pool of 21 girls was reduced to 13 who moved on to the main competition. However, this first call-out does not reflect their performance that first week. That's all I know. Like I said earlier, there's honestly no proof that Tyra calls them out from best to worst. She hinted that the first call out equals the best. And the last person is obviously the one kicked off. But in between...who knows? That's why I think many of the ANTM statistics on both wiki pages are pointless, or perhaps even wrong. SKS2K6 22:50, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
I thought I did the math right. I guess I got it wrong with Eugena, but I got it right with CariDee and Melrose. I added the "excluding semi-finals and final judging" thing to try and tell people that the first call-outs and the finals were not included. I guess that didn't really work. CrossingGuard 08:48, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Transformation Season

Up at the very top of the page, it says this:

America's Next Top Model, Cycle 7 aka the transformation season started airing on September 20, 2006 as the first to be aired on The CW network.

I am pretty sure that Cycle 7 is not the transformation season. If I'm not mistaken, that was Cycle 6's theme. But at the top of Cycle 6's page, it says it's the fairy tale season. I was thinking the theme for this cycle was something along the lines of "Hot Stuff" because that was the song that was playing during the first commercials. But I know that I'm wrong. So does anyone know what the theme is for Cycle 7? Thanks in advance. CrossingGuard 08:58, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Megg's last name

I heard it was Turano, not Morales. What do you guys think? I think there's a better chance that Turano is her last name because Morales is most likey a Hispanic last name, and she's not (or at least doesn't look like) a Hispanic. CrossingGuard 09:17, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

Half the article is written in present tense, with the rest in past tense. Can someone choose one and fix accordingly? An article like this shouldn't have both tenses, especially as all the episodes have concluded.SKS2K6 07:45, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Megan's age

Megan is 23 years old instead of 22. It is said that she's 23 in the official website. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hermeslover (talk • contribs) 09:13, 3 March 2007 (UTC).

I just signed up, so I can't edit but "dumb blonde" is spelt "dumb blone" at one point.
