[edit] Doom

Could Amebix be considered Doom Metal? C'mon, think about it.

I never thought that Amebix was such an old group of the punk-era (after hearing Slave). I thought they were a 90's band along Sepultura and others..

I think Amebix is way more doom than thrash. They may have influenced thrash bands but they play pretty slow. I don't think they should be categorized as thrash metal. Olliegrind 20:03, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

was Stig from amebix the same Stig from icons of filth?

when i think of doom metal i think of alot more sludgey, and more death/apocalypse focused, and not so much political. but your right, amebix is relatively slow to be considered a thrash band. but i wouldnt think of sepultura when i hear amebix, because sepultura is death metal...(209.112.147.44 05:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Bio

I cleaned up the bio a bit a tried to reference some of it. Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with their history, especially line-up changes. Anyone know their story or have a reliable source? Olliegrind 19:57, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
