American University of Central Asia

The American University of Central Asia (AUCA), formerly the Kyrgyz-American University, is a liberal arts University and located in the former Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan. The mission of the University is to promote civil society in this part of the world, to train a new generation of leadership for Central Asia and the CIS, and to introduce new pedagogical methods to Kyrgyzstan.

The American University is chartered in Kyrgyzstan and is authorized by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education to offer the Kyrgyz National Diploma in eleven undergraduate programs and one graduate program, an MBA. AUCA also offers the American University Baccalaureate degree. Students are required to take courses in both Russian and English.

AUCA's historic campus is located in the center of the Kyrgyz capital city, Bishkek, surrounded by cafes, parks, and government offices.

AUCA graduates find employment in local and international companies. Some alumni have been accepted at leading graduate schools in the United States and Europe, including Harvard Business School, Georgetown University, Yale, the Fletcher School at Tufts, West Point, Indiana University, Thunderbird - The Garvin School of International Management, the London School of Economics, Central European University, and many others.
