American Teens Against Crime

American Teens Against Crime or ATAC is an organization in The Hardy Boys Undercover Brothers novels. It is cofounded by Fenton Hardy, which Joe and Frank Hardy are a part. ATAC would send the boys their mission details on a video game disc. The disc reformats itself into a music CD after it has been viewed. Frank and Joe were the very first two agents in ATAC.

There is a secret handshake that only members know. The hand shake goes like this... Two hard up-and-down shakes followed by a wrist grab, then a fist touch, and then finally one last up-and-down shake.

The FBI has at least on one occasion relied on ATAC to solve a case
Known ATAC agents.
Q.T. the director of ATAC. He never smiles.
Frank Hardy. An undercover agent for ATAC. He owns a motorcycle. He knows American Sign Language. Joe considers Frank to be a science geek. He is a certified pilot.
Joe Hardy. An undercover agent for ATAC. He is the brother of Frank Hardy. He owns a motorcycle. He has blond hair and blue eyes. He knows American Sign Language. Like all ATAC agents he is a certified pilot. Joe is 11 months younger than Frank.
Vijay Patel. He is a trainee for ATAC. Frank and Joe were the first ATAC agents he had ever met. He had been with ATAC for about a year by Mission #4. He is originally from Calcutta, India. He moved with his family to the United States when he was 12 years old. He appears very good at lying and works as mission coordinator with the police. He has not had a chance to do any big-time undercover work yet.
Ernie Bickerstaff (aka "Captain Creamy") This tall boy is 20 years old and graduated from Bayport High School a couple years ago. He was an ATAC agent, until he vandalized Bayport High, and attempted to kill Frank and Joe. He also Worked for Captain Creamy Ice Cream Company.
