American Legion Riders
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The American Legion Riders (ALR) are, in a nutshell, motorcycle enthusiasts who are affiliated with the American Legion. The ALR was formed in 1993 to participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the aims and purposes of the American Legion, to promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share the same interest, and to promote and support programs of the American Legion.
Members of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Legion Auxiliary are eligible to join the ALR, provided they own a motorcycle with an engine displacement of at least 350cc and have a valid drivers license.
