American Idol is a video game. It is based on the Fox Network show American Idol.

X-play gave the game a 1 out of 5 on their 5/5 critique scale; complaining about the gameplay consisting of pressing buttons in time to judge the characterz singing and not on the players actual singing. The game was also criticized for being mostly about dress-up.[citation needed]
