Cymbidium

The Cymbidium group of orchids is one of the most popular because of its beautiful flowers. These plants make great house plants, and they are also popular for making floral arrangements or corsages by florists. One feature that makes the plant popular is the fact that it can survive during cold temperatures (as low as 7˚ C or 45˚ F). Cymbidiums bloom during the winter, and each plant can have up to fifteen or more flowers. The possible colors for this plant include: white, green, yellowish-green, cream, yellow, brown, pink, and red (and may have markings of other color shades at the same time). Long, green, narrow shaped leaves accompany the flowers.
