Ambulance LTD is an indie rock group formed in Spanish Harlem, New York in 2000, founded by singer and guitarist Marcus Congleton , Benji Lysaght (guitar), Matt Dublin (bass), Andrew Haskell (keyboards), and Darren Beckett (drums). They signed to TVT Records after getting positive reviews from their live shows and recorded a self titled EP Ambulance LTD in 2003.

They mix the genres of dream pop, indie rock and the British shoegazing movement of the late 80's and early 90's. Their influences range from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Spiritualized, My Bloody Valentine, and Elliott Smith. Their style is a mix of different genres, and the band has said that "their niche is not sticking to any particular niche" and that they don't want to be stuck in any sub-genre of rock.

In 2004 they released the album simply titled LP which has received good reviews from critics. A new EP, titled New English EP was released in March of 2006. Benji Lysaght, Matt Dublin and Darren Beckett left to form a band called The Red Romance.

Recently the rest of the group decided they did not want to carry on with the band, though Congleton insists that he'll carry on as Ambulance LTD. He's still working with the Velvet Underground's John Cale in LA writing new material.
