AmBAR

American Business Association of Russian Professionals (AmBAR) - is a non-profit organization founded to foster entrepreneurship and create an informal networking platform for the Russian-speaking professional community in the United States [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]. The organization has headquaters in Palo Alto, California.
AmBAR was founded in 2002 by a group of experienced technology entrepreneurs and business professionals from the leading Silicon Valley companies and venture capital firms such as Sun Microsystems, Intel Capital, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson [8].
As of February 2007, Ambar reported over 2000 members. Among the members of the organization there are entrepreneurs, engineers, marketers, lawyers, finance specialists, venture capitalists and angel investors [8].
Through various educational events AmBAR provides help to entrepreneurs refine their business plans, advance their product development and marketing efforts [1].
AmBAR is an organizer of the Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD) technology investment conference which takes place annually in Silicon Valley (California, USA) [7], [9], [10], [11].
