I am interested in information on a US military installation which, according to local yore, was located on Ampala in the 1970's and 1980's, during the Sandinista-Contra war. I visited Amapala in 1998 and was told about it by the people there. An electronic listening post apparently. Whatever you might know would be interesting, I have no connection to the US government or to anything else, I visited Amapala as a tourist and ran across this bit of info. If I was sure of the facts about this, I would enter it into the article.
