Amanda Sage

Born 1978 USA. Primarily a painter based in Vienna. She trained and worked with the Fuchs dynasty of artists, being one of the more notable students.

Amanda completed her schooling at the Shining Mountain Waldorf School Boulder,Colorado. She then travelled to Vienna, Austria to study intensively the techniques of the Old Masters as taught by Michael Fuchs.
She was then introduced to Michael's father Ernst Fuchs. Ernst then invited her to work with him on murals in the Apocalypse Chapel in Klagenfurt, Austria. She then went on to assist him with many other projects.
Amanda obtained studio space in the historic WUK, and became integrally involved in organizing events.
In 2007 she joined the stable of artists represented by Galerie 10, placing her in the company of Ernst Fuchs, Arik Brauer, Rudolf Hausner, Anton Lehmden, Wolfgang Hutter, Helmut Kand, Manfred Deix.
Amanda belongs to the current generation of artists influenced by the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism owing to her education with the Fuchs family.
She continues to work and reside in Vienna.
