[edit] Plot

The Westley Fall Showcase is coming up, and the group always gets pummeled with rotten tomatoes making them worried. So when they decide they need a gimmick, Philly Phil shows them one of his wacky machines that is a light show as well as a slurpee maker. Before the show, Philly Phil adds too much blueberry flavor syrup to the machine and makes a blast, accidentally turn everyone blue, except Eddie who dodges the blueberry blast. When they show up to perform, the crowd loves their blueness, and turn the gang into instant celebrities.

When the Westley Spring showcase is coming up, the gang's newfound fame and fortune make them ditch practice and blue-less Eddie is the only one practicing. When the Spring Showcase arrives, Eddie isn't allowed to play with the blue gang due to his normality, and watches as the gang forgets everything they know about their instruments and plays horribly. The fans now hate the blue band and pelt them with rotten tomatoes.

Since Eddie was the only one practicing, he performs a great song and the fans now love him. The rest of the gang decide that their music is the most important thing in the band.

[edit] Trivia

  • This is the second episode that circles around Eddie to be asscociated with the color blue.
  • Since Luna told the Westley Students about the All-School Festival, whenever someone says all school, the letters burst out in an Uppercase Font like ALL SCHOOL. When Kam says he has no idea why they make ALL SCHOOL burst out, NO IDEA burst out
  • The people in the song relate to posters about people of the world. they're dressed like people from around the world and handprints appeared now and then
  • Since the students are blue, Tamika gives a reference to the Smurfs and The Fans Give one to Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Also, Phil LaMarr (Voice of Philly Phil) and Tom Kenny (Voice of Eddie) also did voice acting for Foster's, as Wilt and Eduardo, respectively.
  • There is a reference to Obi Wan Kenobi as Lil' D gives examples of Sunny's gimmicks(he says "For your third album you went all futuristic and called yourself Sunny Wan Kenobi").
  • Philly Phil's stuffed giraffe keeps appearing out of nowhere when something bad happens. The places it appears are:
    • Beating Philly Phil at a tabletop RPG in his basement.
    • In Philly Phil's bedroom after Phil said his giraffe thought that the invention would not work.
    • Next to the curtains on the stage after Philly Phil turned everyone (except Eddie) blue.
    • On Lil'D's bedroom window after he realized he was no longer blue.
    • On top of A Highly Guarded Tower guarding the blueprints.
    • At the end of the episode.
  • There was a reference from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when Philly Phil"s fixes his machine and turns everyone into blueberries, then Madison tries to eat Lil'd's fingers because he was delicious.
  • Once again, Eddie's crush on Tamika is hinted at when he wants to keep the tomato she threw at him
  • In every episode,(when somebody throws something) a boy says "Ow, my eye!" but in this episode, a girl (with many broken body parts) says "Ow, my eye"
  • In this episode, it shows that Sunny can play the piano and the clarinet.
  • There are references to 3 other episodes when Sunny is saying what the class has learned. He said:"You learned that nitroglycerin is made from peanuts (from Peanuts! Get Yer Peanuts!), gorillas like to throw desks, (from Funky Monkey) I'm not a pirate, (from The Hunt for Red Blobtober) and some musical stuff".
  • When Cheddar Man decided to use the gang (excludes Eddie because he wasn't blue) as a band, each character had mixed up personalities. Philly Phil and Li'l d were the twins. Kim was the rich one. Madison was the intelligent one. Kam was the sassy one.
  • Eddie used a different clarinet for most of episode. He begins using the cyan one in the beginning, but when he begins practice with Sunny, he has a gold one.
  • When Cheddar Man denies accesses to the band from Eddie, he says "If you ain't blue, you ain't in the crew." Eddie then replies "Drats! Foiled again by a clever rhyme scheme.", implying this happened before.
  • Philly Phil turning the kids blue parodied the band Blue Man Group.
  • Madison eats Pop Tarts.
  • Eddie plays his diamond encrusted clairnet as see in Eddie's Money.
