Perhaps I'm missing something, but it's not entirely clear what this article means by "Type style". If someone could possibly add something on that it would make it clearer. --Novus Ordo Seculorum 01:39, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

"The ALWD Citation Manual is a book and a widely used legal citation system for the United States compiled by the Association of Legal Writing Directors. Its first edition was published in 2000. Currently, it is in its third edition (2005)."
I do not understand how it can be widely used in the legal citation system yet rarely adopted in courts. Perhaps a better wording is needed?
