"Always on Time" is a 2002 hit single for rapper Ja Rule featuring Ashanti, produced by Irv Gotti. The music was written by 7 Aurelius, Ja Rule and Irving Lorenzo.

Ja Rule had been planning a solo song, but Gotti persuaded him to collaborate with the little-known Ashanti. Ja later said "I wanted this to be fresh and new and Ashanti was fresh and new".

The song spent 2 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 from February 23, 2002. It was followed by another Ja Rule duet, "Ain't It Funny" by Jennifer Lopez featuring Ja Rule.
