No, there's no way to downsize a picture on Wikipedia. You need to copy it to an art package on your own computer, save it there and then upload the smaller version. If you don't have the software to do it yourself, you could ask at the village pump and there will be someone who can do it for you, as long as the picture is not breaking any copyright rules.

I just uploaded one half the size if that helps. If you wanted a different size, let me know. It is at Image:Ludwig_Quidde_smaller.jpg. You can overwrite it by saving something else with the same file name. Angela

By the way, you can sign your name using three tildes (~~~). Using four will add the date as well. Angela 00:17, Sep 21, 2003 (UTC)

[edit] It's not that bad

You might as well forget about it. Wikikiwi 15:04, 27 Nov 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Ludwig Quidde image

Hi, do you know the source from where you got the image? Am I right in assuming that it is in the public domain? All the best, <KF> 23:47, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Charles Van Doren

I don't possibly see how you can suggest that Charles Van Doren is an intellectual. Yes, he is American but I think you would need to redefine the term "intellectual" to include him... If you have ever read "A History of Knowledge", he is quite brief with his intellect. It is like something taught in grammar school and updated for adults. There are a lot of perspectives on history and Van Doren missed most of them. Regards... Stevenmitchell 01:38, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
