Nice photo! Hm, it is another view of the temple in Media:AltunHaMasonAltars.jpg. What a great situation when we have multiple possible images to illustrate an article. Maybe put one or the other of the pix elsewhere, for example at Belize District, or History of Belize, or Maya civilization?
Seeing your new photos, it looks like your travels took you from central Mexico through Oaxaca to Belize last month? Sounds enjoyable. Last time I was down there I didn't know I could collect photos for an encyclopedia! Cheers, -- Infrogmation 05:04, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- Yes – I noticed it was pretty much a duplicate of the other photo, so I thought I'd better ask. But I'm sure we'll find a good home for it on one of the other pages. Recent travels? It's only the Oaxaca pics that are recent, I'm afraid – we drove down there for a long weekend away last weekend. The ones from the far southwest are a couple of years older (unfortunately...), 35mm stuff I scanned in during a quiet moment yesterday. Saludos, –Hajor 14:06, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
I added the photo to History of Belize. -- Infrogmation 20:19, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- Looks good. Thanks! –Hajor 00:49, 8 Feb 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Image Contribution / Gallery
There seems to be a bit too many images in the Gallery section relative to the article's content. I've added a main image representing Altun Ha and its main structure as the header for the article. The remaining photos in the gallery seem to be various angles and some seem to be a 'dumping ground' for one photographer's travel adventures (first 7 out of 10 images are all by User:Aquaimages. Although I am not for removing people's images, perhaps a better way to organize it would be to select a few representative shots, and move the rest to commons. -asmadeus 20:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
