Talk:Alternative high school
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Early on, this article says that alternative high schools are aimed at "students who have dropped out or are at-risk of failing within the traditional high school setting." But later on, it says, "Ideally, alternative schools are aimed to gifted students." The article should be changed to make clear that alternative high schools of many models exist, including those aimed toward "at-risk" students, toward gifted students, and toward many other groups who might be dissatisfied with traditional comprehensive education. The category Alternative high schools also repeats the wording about "students who have dropped out or are at-risk of failing," but without the phrase about gifted students, and should also be changed to reflect the diversity of public alternative school programs.
