Altnagelvin Area Hospital

Altnagelvin Area Hospital is the main hospital for the Derry region. Situated in the waterside area of Derry City. It offers acute services to the people of the entire County Londonderry, as well as Tyrone (since the closure of Tyrone County Hospital) as well as parts of Donegal and Antrim. The hospital tower consists of about 10-12 floors making it very distinctive and the tallest building in Derry. Since the closure of acute services in the Tyrone County Hospital in Omagh altnagelvin provides service to most patients in Tyrone and most of Londonderry.
