Altınkaya Dam is located on the Kızılırmak River and 23 km south of Bafra town 35 km west of Province of Samsun in the northern region of Turkey, and contains a hydroelectric power plant.Otherwise it feeds lake of Derbent.
It was completed in 1986. Total power from the facility is 4x175=700 MW.
