The official site is coy about what it offers in terms of promotion potential. I saw, but then lost, a comment about Stage 2 Qualifying School. The comment in the article about the Challenge Tour is based on the Challenge Tour's site's list of exemption categories, Category 9, which I think applies. It reads "The leading 5 players of each approved Regional League Final Rankings from 2005". As there are a lot of players in higher categories, these players won't be able to pick and choose their tournament, which is the reason for saying the privileges are the top 5 Alps Tour players win are "limited".
