Alpha Xi Delta is much more than can be described in text on a website. To be a "Xi" as we call ourselves at the University of Washington is a way a of life, a state of being, and a part of the heart. It is a commitment to yourself, your sisters, your organization, and your school. Being a "Xi" has taught me a great a many things. One thing I always remember is that Alpha Xi Delta is an institution greater than one person or one idea. It is a dynamic being that was founded on sacred principals, which have today become the infrastructure of Alpha Xi Delta. All the Alpha Xi Delta chapters throughout the country are connected through the beliefs we cherish, and the memories we share. As one of the thousands of members of Alpha Xi Delta, I submit this: For over 100 years this organization has fostered the personal growth of women, unconditional love, and progressive educational movements. For me it is a past and a future. Alpha Xi Delta has helped me to become who I am, and now I am able to carry on the tradition. I encourage all women of character to read this to contact thier local chapters to find out what Alpha Xi Delta can be for them. -Active Member Nu Chapter, University of Washington
