I think the actor who played Kashif does have a different real name (I think Abdullah). Also, this drama serial can be considered as a sequel to "Sunehray Din" an earlier drama serial also by Shoaib Mansoor. All the three characters (Kashif, Faraz & Gulsher) were in that serial too going through their military training as cadets. Also that senior officer whom Kashif meets in Siachen (in Alpha Bravo Charlie) happens to be their trainer in "Sunehray Din" and he also mentions that in their conversation. The article currently states that: "Eventually the series morphs into a coming off age story where the lead characters do a great job for the army and make themselves and their families proud. The main theme of the drama is that every person should lead a goal based existence and that if one has the will and the passion, a person can achieve anything." Although it may be distantly true for this serial, I think a much better preview is possible. Someone who has watched this serial more closely would definitely have better to say.
