Alpinópolis

HISTORY
In 1759, Bartolomeu Bueno do Prado arrived to Jacui. In 1764, General Luiz Diogo Lobo da Silva, the Capitania Governor, founded Jacui (Jacuhy) Village, and defined the border between Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states.
Several expeditions to the region between 1759 and 1764, attracted new people to the region, interested in the extraction of gold and silver. A few villages were stablished around Prata, Ouro and Conquista rivers.
In 1762, the village starts building its first chapel.
In 1806, Marianna Lourença de Oliveira sells the property to Jose Justiniano dos Reis
