Alphonse Milne-Edwards

Alphonse Milne-Edwards (October 13, 1835 - April 21, 1900) was a French ornithologist and carcinologist. He was the son of Henri Milne-Edwards.
Milne-Edwards became professor of ornithology at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in 1876, devoting himself especially to fossil birds and deep-sea exploration. He became Director of the museum in 1891.
