Alpha Design
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alpha Design is an IBM PC demoscene group from Finland which was originally formed in 1994 under the name Nightmare Productions or NMP by founding members Britelite and Chaj. After a few haphazard identity changes, careful consideration was given and ultimately the group members settled upon Alpha Design in 1996, which it still goes by today.
While Alpha Design releases PC demos of all sorts, the group is primarily known for its release of text mode demos and participation in the semi-annual Text Mode Demo Contest held by tAAt, most recognized of all being their 2003/2004 award-winning demo, Bolognese.
[edit] Trivia
- For a brief period in time, Alpha Design was known as Mango (circa 1997) until they discovered that another group had already existed by that name.
- As of 2005, Alpha Design has historically contributed to every Text Mode Demo Contest ever held with the exception of TMDC 4. They finally won first place with their demo Bolognese in TMDC 6 (2003).
