Alonzo Clemons

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alonzo Clemons is an American autistic savant noted for his clay sculptures. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.

Clemons is developmentally disabled. However, even as a child, he created very accurate animal sculptures out of clay. In 1986 he had a premiere exhibit in Aspen, Colorado. Clemons can create a sculpture of almost any animal, even if he has seen only a glimpse of it. He can create a sculpture in about an hour and his wax animals are correct in every detail.

In one interview he described himself as "very smart."
