Had the bridge been used for vehicles up to Katrina, or was it only rail for some time already beforehand? -- Infrogmation 07:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)


The bridge was used for both road and rail transport until Katrina. Actually, it made a pretty good shortcut if you were going from downtown New Orleans on I-10 East to Chalmette, bypassing a lot of traffic on the I-10 High Rise bridge. Macmedic892 05:17, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
