Almondsbury Town F.C.

Almondsbury Town F.C. is a football club based in Almondsbury, near Bristol, England. They are currently members of the Hellenic Football League Premier Division. The chairman of the club is Bob Jenkins and the current manager is Paul Weeks who joined the club in December 2005 from Bitton. Almondsbury Town currently play their home matches at Oaklands Park, Almondsbury situated just off the M5 motorway. The club play in navy blue and sky blue shirts, with navy blue shorts and socks.
The reserve team currently play in the Bristol Suburban League Premier Division 1, and are managed by Simon Bloodworth and Lee Bloodworth. They won the Alf Bosley Cup in May 2006 beating Broad Plain House.
Under one of their previous names, Almondsbury Greenway, they had a sequence of excellent performances in the FA Vase in the late 1970s. In their first season in the competition, 1976-77, they reached the last 16, the next season they made the semi-finals, and in 1978-79 they went all the way to the final before being beaten by Essex side Billericay Town at Wembley Stadium.
