Almond Elementary School is an elementary school located on Almond Avenue in Los Altos, California. It is a Kindergarten-6 grade school. Almond has the highest API (Academic Performance Index) scores in the well-regarded Los Altos School District.

Almond's current principal is Jeff Baier. Almond's mascot is the eagle. The sixth graders graduate to Egan Junior High School, one of the top ranking junior high schools in California.

Almond is approximately two-thirds white and one-third Asian.[1] They have a number of disabled students and students learning English.[1] In teaching, Almond's teachers refer to Native Americans as "Indians", specifically when teaching about the local Ohlone people. Almond has no Native American students[1]. However, many of their Asian students are of Indian descent.

  • The 2003-2004 students of Almond had to attend "Almond Eagle Ranch" located at Egan while Almond was renovating. The year Almond moved back, Egan started renovating.
  • Almond sells engraved bricks, which are displayed on campus, as a fundraising project.[2]
