Allington, Lincolnshire

Allington is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, just north-west of Grantham. The 2001 census gave a population of 728 for the parish. Originally East and West Allington had their own churches but today only one survives (Holy Trinity). The village pub is the Welby Arms. The Old Manor House is now a hotel. The Viking Way used to go through the village until 1997, but was diverted to follow a roadbridge over the A1. The primary school is shared with Sedgebrook.
