In the fictional Star Fleet Universe as represented in the range of games from Amarillo Design Bureau Inc. as well as the first two Star Fleet Command games (and the Orion Pirates stand-alone addon for Starfleet Command II) from Taldren, the Alliance of the Hydran Kingdom and the Kzinti Hegemony - who were allied in the Four Powers War and were later joined in the General War by the United Federation of Planets, the Gorn Confederation and, for a time, the Tholian Holdfast - fought for 18 years against the Klingon-Lyran-Romulan Coalition.
