Allan McEachern

Allan McEachern is a Canadian lawyer, judge, and chancellor of the University of British Columbia.

McEachern was called to work with the Vancouver law firm Russell and DuMoulin in 1951. In 1979, Mr. McEachern became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He was later appointed Chief Justice of the Appeal Court of British Columbia in 1988. He retired from the Appeal Court position to return to his old law firm now called Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. In 2002 he left the partership of the firm to become the Chancellor of the University of British Columbia. He is currently an Associate Counsel to Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP.

McEachern graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in 1949, followed by a law degree in 1950.
