"All The Things You Are" is a song written by composer Jerome Kern for the musical Very Warm for May. It was introduced on stage by Hiram Sherman, Frances Mercer, Hollace Shaw, and Ralph Stuart. The lyrics were written by Oscar Hammerstein II. It is a very well-known and often played jazz standard. The chord progressions have been used with many other heads in such tunes as "Bird of Paradise" by Charlie Parker, and "Prince Albert" by Kenny Dorham.
