Aliza Olmert
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aliza Olmert (hebrew: עליזה אלמרט ; born 1946 Germany), is an Israeli Plastic artist and writer of novels and theater plays[1], and the wife of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. She has been an activist and chairwoman for several child care programs and also an activist for human rights groups associated with alleviating pressure from Palestinians.
[edit] Political Views
It has been rumored that Olmert was a founding member of the Israeli left wing organization Women in Black, but this rumor is unsubstantiated, [2]. Still, like some of their older children, Aliza is known to have left-leaning political views. She recently claimed in an interview that she voted for her husband's party, newly found Kadima, for the first time in 2006.[citation needed]
