Aliza Gur

Aliza Gur was born Aliza Gross. She was Miss Israel of 1960 a runner-up to Miss Universe that same year. Her parents left Germany during Hitler's reign and settled in Israel, where she and her brother were born. She eventually came to the United States and settled in California where she began her film and television career. Her parents came to the United States and settled in Cleveland, Ohio, for a time. They passed away in the mid 1970s. Aliza has been married twice, to Sy Shulman and to Sheldon Shrager.
Her television credits include guest appearances on Get Smart (1965), The Wild Wild West (1965), and several other shows. Movie credits included From Russia with Love (1963), Kill a Dragon (1967), and as an extra in The Ten Commandments (1956).
Her most famous role was as the smaller of the two fighting Gypsies in From Russia with Love. (Martine Beswick played the larger girl.) By the climax of the fight, Gur seems to have the upper hand. To this day, Gur receives fan mail relating to this 2 minute scene. She now resides in Hollywood.
