aliveacoustic is a live album by Boston rock/jazz band The Slip. It was released in 2003 along with its companion album, alivelectric, on the band's own label, 216 Records. It was recorded during a lightning storm on May 11, 2003 at Club Helsinki in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and features primarily vocal numbers on acoustic instruments, such as acoustic guitar, banjo, and steel drum. The song "Poor Boy" was later released in two different studio versions by The Slip's side project, Surprise Me Mr. Davis, on two different albums (2004's Surprise Me Mr. Davis and 2005's Only in Montreal EP). "Hunny" also appeared on Surprise Me Mr. Davis's self-titled album. "Song" is the only song to appear on both alivelectric and aliveacoustic.
