Alistair Taylor was a fictional cardiac surgeon in the long-running BBC drama Holby City.

Alistair was a Surgical Consultant. He was intelligent and skillful but was hampered by his lack of social and people skills. He frequently had rows with staff, became irate with trainee surgeons who asked him questions and had a complete lack of respect for his patients and subordinates.

He had a unstable marriage with his wife and colleague Janice with whom he had a child. The relationship collapsed after he pursued an affair with long-serving character Chrissie Williams.

Alistair was drafted in by Michael Beauchamp as part of the "Centre of Excellence" that Holby was attempting to create. The character was killed off in the 2004 Holby@Casualty crossover after escaping a fire by jumping out of a window.

Alistair was played by Dominic Jephcott.
