Detective Sergeant Alistair Greig was a police officer in the long running ITV drama The Bill. He arrived at Sun Hill in January 1989 and finally left Sun Hill in 1998 rather than face the humiliation of being demoted back to the Uniform department after his appeal against tenure failed. Due to the fact he was a member of CID he did not have a callsign and was simply referred to as "DS Greig" in radio communications.
