Alison Cockburn

Alison Cockburn (or Alicia Cockburn) (8th of October 1713 - 22nd of November 1794) was Scottish poet and author of one of the most famous Scottish ballads; the Flowers of the Forest. She was the daughter of Robert Rutherfurd of Fairnalee, Selkirkshire.
