Alien is the fourth album by Canadian heavy metal band Strapping Young Lad. It was released on March 22, 2005.

Strapping Young Lad recorded a cover of Tom Jones' "What's New Pussycat?" that was scheduled to appear on Alien, but it was taken off at the last minute because "it did not fit the flow" of the album. It is expected to be released sometime in the near future, however.[1]

Alien was originally intended to be released as an EP, with 4 cover songs and 4 new songs.[2] Alien reached number 32 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and number 35 on the Top Independent Albums chart.
