From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ali-Naqi Vaziri (1887 – September 9, 1979) was an Iranian musician, composer and tar player.
He was truly well-trained in old style so his play was very similar to that of Mirza Abdollah. He looked for new dimensions and perspectives in musical expression, and for achieving this goal, he revolutionized the style of tar playing. He was the first musician who transcribed the classical radif of Persian music.
